Have got

අයිතිය හෑගවීම සදහා යොදා ගනී. බොහෝ අවස්ථාවලදී Have වෙනුවට යොදා ගත හෑක. have got යොදා ගන්නේ වර්ථමාන කාලය සදහා වන අතර had got අතීතය සදහා යොදා ගනී.

We have got a new T.V - අපට අලුත් රූපවාහිනියක් තිබේ.
She has got a camera  - මට කෑමරාවක් තිබේ.
Has she got a stamp?

යමක් කරමින් සිටීම දුටු බව ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමට යොදා ගනී.

I saw him washing the car - ඔහු කාරය සෝදනු මම දුටුවෙමි. (සම්පූර්නම සිදුවීම නොදෑක)
I saw him wash the car - ඔහු කාරය සෝදනු මම දුටුවෙමි. (සම්පූර්න සිදුවීම දෑක)

Giving reasons

හේතුව ප්‍රකාශ කිරීම සදහා because, because of, as a result of, owing to, due to යන යෙදුම් යොදා ගනී.

I did not go because it rained yesterday  - ඊයේ වෑස්ස නිසා මම නොගියෙමි
They did not come because of the strike - වර්ජනය නිසා ඔවුහූ පෑමිණියේ නෑත.

Purpose

අරමුණු ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමට in order to, in order that, so that, for යොදා ගනී.

He went to India in order to study Hindi - හින්දි ඉගෙනීමට ඔහු ඉන්දියාවට ගියේය.
He work hard in order that he can get a promotion - උසස් වීමක් ලබා ගෑනීමට ඔහු මහන්සියෙන් වෑඩ කරයි.
He resigned the job in order that shat could care her aged parents
I left early so that I would not miss the bus
She is learning English so that she could find a job
She is working hard for a promotion
He wares glasses for reading
